As the largest European country, Russia’s history from the early modern period through to the present day is simultaneously apart from and entwined with that of the West. Any history school trip to Moscow and St Petersburg will give students a true insight into European history across the centuries.

Students can learn about the devastating hardship that the First and Second World Wars brought to the Russian people.


Day 1

On Arrival at  Moscow International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transfered to your hotel to check in.

After you have checked in and freshened up you will enjoy a tour by night of  Red Square.

Stepping onto Red Square never ceases to inspire. For starters, the vast rectangular stretch of cobblestones, surrounded by architectural marvels, is an imposing sight. 

After your Red Square night tour  you will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant  before heading to your hotel for your first nights stay.

Day 2

After enjoying  breakfast at your hotel, you will  visit the School  No 1494.  After the visit  you will ejnjoy lunch at a local restaurant nearby , After Lunch the tour will continue and visit the Cosmonaut Museum visit.

The Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics opened on April 10, 1981 to mark 20 years since Yuri Gagarin’s achievement as the first person to orbit the earth.

The museum (also known as Memorial Museum of Astronautics) celebrates the history of Russia’s 20th-century space travel achievements, with around 85,000 items on space technology, astronomy, and space travel. There are also taxidermy space dogs, including Belka and Strelka. The museum is contained in the base of the Monument to the Conquerors of Space.

After the Museum visit , you will proceed to 

The Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard is one of the most grandiose historical constructions of the modern century, which was erected as far back as the end of the 19th century and continues to thrive to this day. This is an amazing place for spectacular performances, where outstanding people and skilled craftsmen from all over Russia gathered: artists, equilibrists, trainers, jugglers, kings of laughter, clowns and many other talented talents! Fascinatingly well-coordinated work of circus artists, like a beautiful song, captivates the audience, inspiring a sense of respect for human labor.

The history of the Circus on the Tsvetnoy Boulevard stretches from October 20, 1880, and for its history passed a big and difficult path.

After the Circus, you will be transfers back to your hotel. and overnight

Day 3 

After breakfast at your hotel , you will be check out from your hotel. Today your first visit  is  Kremlin  followed by Armoury 

The Moscow Kremlin is considered to be a symbol of the Russian statehood.

The architectural ensemble. The Moscow Kremlin State Historical and Cultural Museum and Heritage Site. 

After your Kremlin you will then visit the  Armoury. The Kremlin Armour  is one of the oldest museums of Moscow, established in 1851 and located in the Moscow Kremlin, now a part of Moscow Kremlin Museums.

After the  Armoury visit  you will enjoy  lunch at a local restaurant.

After Lunch your tour will continue  where you will visit  the Cold War Bunker.

This top secret bunker is located 18 floors beneath Moscow in the Taganskaya area. 

Decommissioned and sold off at auction, this ex-military communications post is now a museum dedicated to the Cold War.

After Cold War Bunker visit, the tour will continue to Novodevichy Convent is one of the most appreciated historical sites by Muscovites and a must-see if you travel to Moscow. Next to the convent is the Novodevichy Cemetery, the most famous of Moscow and in which famous celebrities of Russian history are buried, such as former Russian President Boris Yeltsin, film director Sergei Eisenstein, or composer Dmitri Shostakovich, among others.

After the Novodevichy visit  you will then continue to Visit to  Arbat, Moscow's most famous pedestrian street, in the company of a guide who can point out the most historic sites, as well as the best cafes still serving delicious fare. This tour also takes you off the beaten path and down some of Arbat's side streets to discover some of Moscow's lesser-known histories.

After full fun day , you will now proceed  to Grand Express Overnight train to St. Peters Burg. Light off.

Day 4 

On arrival at St. Peters Burg at 8:00AM. You will be met by your driver and procees to Brasserie Pascal  restaurant for Breakfast.  After breakfast you will transfer to your hote to check in.

After you have checked  , prepare for  Peter and Paul  Fortress & Prisons visit .Peter and Paul fortress, originally conceived as a military fortification and built according the contemporary system of French military engineer Vauban, has never been used for its intended purpose. In the first quarter of XVIII century the Peter and Paul fortress became known as the “Russian Bastille” – the main state prison. Interrogations and tortures tool place here implemented by first and second Secret office, and by the Secret expedition afterwards. 

After Peter and Paul fortress visit , the tour will continue and visit the  WWII. St. Petersburg: Russia’s capital of art and culture, with extravagant palaces, magnificent theaters, world-renowned museums and miles of canals. But during the Second World War (WWII), Leningrad (as St. Petersburg was known then) was an entirely different sight.

After the WWII visit , you will then visit the The Catherine Palace is named after Catherine I, the wife of Peter the Great, who ruled Russia for two years after her husband's death. Originally a modest two-storey building commissioned by Peter for Catherine in 1717, the Catherine Palace owes its awesome grandeur to their daughter, Empress Elizabeth, who chose Tsarskoe Selo as her chief summer residence. Starting in 1743, the building was reconstructed by four different architects, before Bartholomeo Rastrelli, Chief Architect of the Imperial Court, was instructed to completely redesign the building on a scale to rival Versailles.

After the visit , you will be transfer to  Local restaurant  for evening Dinner.

After Dinner  your last activties is St Petersburg by  night tour- A unique tourist attraction which allows one to feel the history and soul of Russia in one night! After witness the  spectacular  performance, you will now board the coach and transfer back to your hotel.   

Day 5 .

After breakfast at your hotel, Today you will enjoy a  sightseeing tour of St. Peters burg. 

St. Petersburg isn’t just about the major monuments, the point out lesser-known nooks and crannies along the way to give you a more in-depth perspective on this complex and fascinating city. After getting a taste for the general layout of St. Petersburg, you’ll be much more comfortable getting around and exploring each neighborhood further during the remainder of your trip.

After the sightseeing, you will continuwe to  and visit the Museum of Siege of Leningrad guided tour.

Museum Defence and Siege of Leningrad is a small but extremely moving museum which  commemorates perhaps the most harrowing period of the city's history. 

After  Museum Defence  and Siege of Leningrad visit,  you will  visit the Yusupov Palace. 

The Moika Palace or Yusupov Palace is  literally the Palace of the Yusupovs on the Moika) was once the primary residence in St. Petersburg, Russia of the House of Yusupov.  

After Yusupov Palace  visit, you will  transfer to a local restaurant for dinner before heading back to your hotel.

Day 6

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be check out from the hotel and proceed and visit the  State Hermitage  Museum.

The State Hermitage Museum  is a museum of art and culture in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

After The State Hermitage  Museum visit,  you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant .

After lunch  you will be transfer back to your hotel  to pack and then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
