Package Description

U.S. Space Camp is a camp and related programs owned and operated by the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission's U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The camp provides residential and educational programs for children and adults and these programs include space oriented camp programs, aircraft themed Aviation Challenge camps, and robotics themed programs, which are designed to promote science, engineering, aviation and technology. More than 750,000 campers have graduated since 1982.

Itinerary

Day 1

On Arrival at Atlanta Airport,  you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel to check in

After you have checked in  the rest  of the day will be free. 

In the evening you will enjoy dinner at a  local restaurant .

Day 2 

After Breakfast at your hotel, you will enjoy a full day tour of Atlanta, you will visit the World of Coca Cola.

The World of Coca-Cola is a museum, located in Atlanta, Georgia, showcasing the history of The Coca-Cola Company. 

After World of Coca Cola visit, you will enjoy  Lunch at a local restaurant .

After Lunch  the tour will continue into the CNN  Studio  where you will get exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the world headquarters of CNN with this amazing tour experience. 

In the evening you will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to your hotel

Day 3 

After breakfast at your hotel,  you will be check out from your hotel and transfer to  Huntsville Alabama.

En route you will stop for lunch.

When you arrive at NASA SPACE CENTER in  Huntsville  you will be met by the counselor and proceed with the orientation, followed by Dinner at  NASA SPACE CENTER  Cafeteria. After dinner proceed to your accommodation.

Day 4 to 7 

After daily  breakfast at the NASA SPACE CENTER Cafeteria,  you will be participating  the NASA SPACE Training. From  07:00hrs  to 20:00hrs 

Space Academy (Ages 12-14): 

Space Academy trainees experience firsthand the future of space travel and train to solve technically challenging anomalies in order to complete their space mission.

Trainees practice clear communication through aquatic teambuilding activities and leadership training at Area 51 and put engineering skills to the test as they construct an ablative shield during the Thermal Design Challenge.

Activities

Launch on missions to the International Space Station, the moon or Mars!
Train like an astronaut on the 1/6th Gravity Chair and the Multi-Axis Trainer.
Design, build and launch a team rocket.
Learn teambuilding skills on the low elements at our Area 51 Challenge Course and in one of our water facilities!
Put your creative thinking skills to work in our engineering design challenges!
Hear the inspiring stories about commercial pioneers like Elon Musk, founder of Space X!

Advanced Space Academy (Ages 15-18): 

Trainees experience a variety of astronaut training exercises, engineering challenges and  teambuilding activities all culminating in an extended-duration simulated space mission.

Activities
Train like an astronaut on the 1/6th Gravity Chair and the Multi-Axis Trainer.
Design, build and launch a team rocket, and safely recover its payload.
Learn teambuilding skills on the high elements at our Area 51 Challenge Course.
Experience neutral buoyancy while SCUBA diving in the Underwater Astronaut Trainer! (Pending  physician approval)
Test your skills in our Engineering Challenges by constructing a heat shield and building a Rover.
Fly jet aircraft simulators!
Discover the role the International Space Station plays in our global community.
Prepare for every contingency as you go to Mars on an extended-duration mission simulation!
Earn one credit hour of freshman-level general science from University of Alabama in Huntsville in this college-accredited program.

Day 8

After breakfast you will  participate in the Award Ceremony.

After the Award Ceremony you will be check out from NASA SPACE CENTER and transfer  to Atlanta Airport for  your flight back home
