The history of Jordan encompasses the development of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the era of the Emirate of Transjordan under British protection, and the broader historical narrative of the Transjordan region.
Archaeological findings suggest human presence in Transjordan dates back to the Paleolithic era. During the Bronze Age, the region was inhabited by nomadic tribes, which eventually formed small kingdoms in the Iron Age, such as Edom and Ammon, with some territories being under Israeli control. The narrative of Transjordan progresses with the advent of Muslim rule in the 7th century, followed by periods of Crusader dominion in the Middle Ages (notably the territory known as Oultrejordain), and later, governance by the Mamluk Sultanate.
Itinerary
Day 1
Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure.

Day 2
Amman City Tour - Wadi Rum - Petra
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and embark on a tour of Amman, visiting the Roman Theatre, the Citadel, the Umayyad Palace, and the Archaeological and Folklore Museums. After these visits, you will depart for the Wadi Rum Desert by coach.
In the evening, after checking into your hotel in Petra, dinner will be enjoyed at a local restaurant.
Day 3
Post-breakfast at your hotel, the day begins with a visit to the renowned Siq, leading you to discover the ingenuity of the Nabateans. The tour will reveal the marvels of the Rose-Red City, including the iconic Treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers, and high places of sacrifice.
Dinner will be at a local restaurant in the evening before you return to your hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast, you will journey to the town of Madaba and visit the charming monastery on Mount Nebo. The day continues with a trip to a Dead Sea resort, where you can enjoy a swim.

Day 5
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Amman airport for your return flight home.
