If you’re looking for an outdoor active school trips with hiking, trekking in the mountainous area, dinner and homestay with the local minority people, cruising and kayaking in the bay, then you should consider this 7-day tour. Not only this, there will be plenty of chance in helping the local people such as: Painting the wall for local schools, book collecting for village’s library, teaching English for local children, collecting garbage in the sea.


Day 1:

Hanoi arrival 
Upon arrival in Hanoi, and after clearing passport control, customs and collecting your luggage, you will be warmly greeted and transferred by your own private coach to your hotel in Hanoi to check in.  After a short rest, you will enjoy a 1-hour cyclo tour of the French inspired "old quarter" passing through boutique stores and amazing contemporary art galleries amongst many other historical monuments. 

You  will then sit down to enjoy a performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets before enjoying dinner at  a local restaurant  and then heading back to your hotel for your  first night’s stay in beautiful Hanoi.  You will also have the opportunity to visit Dong Xuan Night Market. 

Day 2:

Bat Trang Ceramic Village & Hanoi City Tour – Overnight Train to Sapa. After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Hanoi you will be collected and be taken on a 15kms drive to the outskirts of Hanoi in the East to visit Bat Trang Ceramic Village, which is located on the left bank of Hong River.
This ceramic village dates back from the 15th century and soon became one of the most famous ceramic and pottery villages in the North of Vietnam.

On arrival at the village, you will visit Bat Trang Communal House, which was built under Le Du Tong King's period, from 1719 to 1720. You will then visit the ancient house and ceramic workshops of artist Tran Van Do, To Thanh Son and Vu Duc Thang.  Here your students will have chance to try their hands in making their own ceramic products, something for the beginners such as cup, bowl or flower vases.  You finish our trip with a visit to the French ancient building since 1920s.  Back to Hanoi at around noon, you will have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch you will visit the Temple of Literature, which was originally built as a temple to Confucius. 

You then visit the Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam's 54 Ethnic minority peoples. You will then enjoy dinner and will be driven to the Railway Station to board the overnight train to Sapa arriving at Lao Cai Railway station the following morning.

Day 3:

Lao Cai – Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Ta Van – Community Service 
On arrival at Lao Cai Railway Station you will be driven to Sapa for breakfast in a local restaurant. You will then pass through the market, and leave the busy town behind.  You will follow a road with spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. 

You eventually arrive in Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where we can take a rest while lunch is served nearby the river.
After Lunch you will then head to Muong Hoa valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Ta Van village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route. You will spend the night in local house of Giay minority.

In the afternoon, you will divide into different groups and start your community services such as painting the walls for local school, garbage collecting in the schoolyard and much more. You will also pay a visit to a local school and have some fun activities with the local children such as playing football, badminton etc.  On your return to your  homestay in the late afternoon, you will be in the kitchen and help the owner cook dinner for the whole group.

After dinner, you will have a Bonfire in the village and enjoy some relaxation or you can teach English to the local children. Overall, the walking time is 3-4 hours with a break for lunch.

Day 4:

Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Sapa – Overnight train to Hanoi 
After enjoying breakfast, you leave for Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dao minority. You will trek through the bamboo forest, which belongs to Hoang Lien National Park. On the way, you will pass by a waterfall where we will have time to take a rest and enjoy the surroundings. Your tour guide will find a nice place to enjoy lunch. After lunch, you continue toward Su Pan, a small village located by the road.  Here you start your journey back to Sapa in your private vehicle.  You will  have time to wonder around the lively town of Sapa before your car takes you to Lao Cai Railway Station to board the overnight train to Hanoi. Overnight accommodation on the train.
Overall the day consists of 3 hours walking, 1 hour driving and a break for lunch of approximately one hour. 

Day 5:

Hanoi – Halong Bay – Team Building – Overnight on boat.  On arrival in Hanoi in the early morning, you will be driven to a day-use hotel for breakfast and to freshen up.  You will then be  driven to the World Heritage Site of Halong Bay, which was noted as one of ‘The New 7 Wonders of Nature’ in 2011.

On arrival in Halong, you will embark on your overnight cruise followed by a short cruise briefing.  You will then savour a delectable lunch while your cruise sails among the limestone islands.  In the mid-afternoon, you will stop at Titop Beach or Soi Sim beach for your team building on the beach with 2-3 games of beach volleyball, football, and much more.

You will then conduct some community services on the beach such as garbage collecting and then have free time for swimming in the sea until late afternoon before heading  back to your cruise for shower and dinner and an exciting night onboard in Halong Bay.

Day 6:

Halong Kayaking – Hanoi 
You will be woken up early morning to start your day with some  Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt before enjoying  breakfast. 

After breakfast you can kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Luon Cave for around 45 minutes to 1 hour.  You will then return to your boat to freshen up and check out of your cabin.
You will then continue your cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and much more en route to the habor. Enjoy watching a cooking demonstration  before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch. You will then disembark and your private vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Hanoi where you will check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7:

Hanoi – Free time for Shopping & Departure 
After breakfast you will have free time to explore a little more of Hanoi and perhaps buy some souvenirs before your vehicle and guide arrives to escort you back to Hanoi Airport for your flight back to the UAE.
