Itinerary

Upon arrival at Cape Town airport, participants will be greeted by their driver and taken to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for settling in. The evening features an introduction to the program, capped off with dinner at the hotel.

Day 1: After breakfast, participants dive into their first project. Cape Town, known for its diverse offerings, serves as an excellent base for volunteering. Activities range from engaging with children in conservation initiatives to teaching and assisting with homework. The afternoon is dedicated to Sports Coaching and Development Volunteering, focusing on providing essential physical education in the townships. The day concludes with an educational workshop on Water Scarcity in South Africa, discussing the challenges and impacts of water shortages.

Day 2: The morning starts with visits to the District Six Museum and the V&A Waterfront. The museum offers a poignant look at the forced relocations during Apartheid, while the V&A Waterfront, set against the backdrop of Table Mountain, showcases a vibrant mix of commercial and residential life. The afternoon excursion to Robben Island provides insight into its historical use as a prison and a symbol of the struggle against oppression. The day ends with a workshop on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Day 3 to Day 5: These days are filled with hands-on projects focused on early years education and homework clubs, aiming to provide essential support in underprivileged communities. The goal is to offer better opportunities for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) through education. Participants will engage in weekly learning activities, making a tangible difference in the lives of teachers and children. Evenings are reserved for relaxing activities like movie nights and quizzes.

Day 6: Participants head to Summit Table Mountain via cable car for stunning panoramic views of Cape Town. The afternoon is free for leisure, allowing time for exploration or shopping. The program's final evening features reflections and presentations by the students, followed by a farewell dinner.

Day 7: The last day starts with breakfast and offers some free time for last-minute exploration or shopping. In the afternoon, participants are transferred to the airport for their flight home, marking the end of a transformative experience.
