Itinerary
Day 1
You will arrive in Brisbane late evening and will be met and after clearing customs and collecting your luggage you will head straight to the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Brisbane.
This 4.5-star hotel in the centre of Brisbane features a restaurant and bar with city views, rooftop swimming pool and fitness room, plus spacious rooms with LCD TV and private balcony.
Each room at Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane features a minibar and a work desk with wireless internet access. Most rooms have panoramic views of the Roma Street Parklands or the city.
Frescos Restaurant offers modern à la carte dining during the evening and extensive buffets for breakfast and lunch. Frescos Bar & Café serves light meals and a variety of drinks, including cocktails. Guests at The Grand Chancellor Brisbane can work out in the rooftop fitness centre, with advanced exercise equipment. Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane is only a 15-minute walk to Suncorp Stadium.
Day 2
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel you will be ready for your first day. You will be collected from your hotel and transferred by coach to Wharf where you will take a 75 minute Ferry to Tangalooma Resort on Stradbroke Island.
Protected and treasured, Tangalooma Resort is nature’s theme park where amazing natural encounters are just part of the everyday experience. With heaps of tours and activities on offer, Tangalooma is the jewel of Moreton Bay and islands. Activities on offer include Brisbane's best Whale Watching Cruise, ATV Quad Bike Tours, Marine Discovery Cruise, and the Desert Safari Tour with sand tobogganing, Snorkeling the Tangalooma Wrecks and so much more! The star attraction at the Resort is the unique guest activity of hand feeding a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins!
Upon arrival at Tangalooma Island Resort you will be met by the representative from the Guests Services Jetty where you will collect your activity booklets and then enjoy a set menu lunch in the garden room before an afternoon and evening of activity and fun! You will start off with a one and half hour guided snorkeling tour of the wrecks of Tangalooma.
The history of the wrecks of Tangalooma dates back to 1963, when a group of boat owners requested the construction of a man-made harbour just off the island. Fifteen vessels that were deliberately sunk to form a break wall for small boats also creating an amazing wreck dive and snorkel site. After this incredible experience you will enjoy some afternoon tea and muffins and have some free time to explore the area perhaps taking a beach walk or taking part in some sports activities where the equipment hire is free of charge.
Early evening you will enjoy a set menu dinner in the Garden Room before watching a fascinating 30 minute presentation on the World of Dolphins at the Eco Centre on Tangalooma. You will then head to the Jetty where you will have the chance to hand feed one of the wild bottlenose dolphins that visit the shores each evening at sunset. The Tangalooma dolphins are playful creatures that visit regularly, each with their own distinctive and unique personalities. Tangalooma has a government permit to run the dolphin feeding program and has implemented very strict rules and regulations for the program. Tangalooma is often recognised as the world's best wild dolphin feeding programme.
After a fantastic fun filled and educational day you will enjoy some night time activities before heading off to bed.
Day 3
After enjoying an early morning breakfast you will be taken on a fun filled Desert Safari.
As part of this great trip you will receive a unique look into the heart of Moreton Island and then participate in the exhilarating sport of Moreton Island sand tobogganing, reaching speeds of up to 40km per hour!
After this trip lasting one and half hours you will enjoy a chef selection of cookies and fruit at the coffee shop before having a Coastal Presentation with an Eco Ranger at the Eco Centre. You will then enjoy a picnic style lunch consisting of sandwiches, muffins, fruit and drinks before more fun where you will experience stand up kayaking until the early afternoon. You will then collect your afternoon tea and have some free time until dinner at around 6.30 pm and then enjoy a movie night with hot chocolate and popcorn.
Day 4
Today you will be leaving Tangalooma Island Resort but not before enjoying some more great activities. After your breakfast you will place your luggage in designated collection area and check out of your room.
You will then enjoy an Island Explorer Bush Walking Tour with an Eco Ranger where you enjoy a guided bush walk into the National Park to learn about the flora and fauna of Moreton Island, as well as the history of the Island’s original indigenous community. In this 45 minute cruise you will witness over 100 species of fish and even dolphins, wobbegongs and dugongs. Back in time for lunch you will have some fun building your own burger with chips in the garden room. You will then enjoy some beach activities including Beach Volleyball, Tug of War and perhaps a sandcastle building competition. There will then be some light snacks before heading out to the jetty for your journey back to Brisbane for your overnight stay in the Grand Chancellor Brisbane Hotel
Day 5
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel you will enjoy a Brisbane City Historical Tour before heading to The Kooralbyn Valley for one night’s stay. The Kooralbyn Valley is a secluded hinterland paradise tucked away in the heart of regional Queensland’s picturesque Scenic Rim Region. Just over an hour’s drive from Brisbane and Gold Coast, guests can discover the beauty and tranquility that has historically attracted Australia’s highest flyers to holiday there.
With its tranquil surroundings, ample outdoor space, and many facilities, The Kooralbyn Valley is perfect for an overnight stay and an active escape. Resort facilities include a championship golf course visited by the game’s greats, including Jason Day, Adam Scott, and Greg Norman, an outdoor pool, day spa, tennis courts, mini putt putt, volleyball courts, and dozens more exciting activities to keep guests of all ages entertained. The activities that you will enjoy here are an exciting 1.5 hours Country Farm Experience from 9:30am, where you will feed animals including sheep, learn to whip crack and throw a boomerang.
You will enjoy a one hour golf buggy kangaroo tour followed by one hour bush dancing and camp fire, all followed by star gazing from 7pm onwards.
Day 6
You will check out of Kooralbyn Valley and enjoy the Spirits of the Red Sand program. A full day interactive guided program that combines both the Aboriginal and early colonial pioneering cultures. Starting from Dreamtime and involving all aspects of welcome to country; Aboriginal village visit, including a bush tucker educational walk, you will be guided through the old colonial settlement for a glimpse of life as it was during those early years of migration.

You will then head to the Gold Coast where you check into the Voco Hotel, Surfers Paradise Gold Coast. Located in the centre of Surfers Paradise, Voco Gold Coast features accommodation with ocean or hinterland views. It is located just a 4-minute walk from the beach and is surrounded by a variety of restaurants. There are 2 outdoor swimming pools, 2 spa tubs and a fitness centre and games room.
The modern, designer rooms enjoy ocean or river views and include a flat-screen TV, refrigerator or minibar and are fully air-conditioned. The en suite bathrooms are supplied with essential amenities and a hairdryer. Access to shared laundry facilities is available. You can also pay a visit to Clifford's Grill & Lounge, boasting a centerpiece ten-burner grill that our culinary talent sets alight daily to fire up fresh meats, seafood and other staple favourites grilled to mouth-watering perfection.
Day 7
After enjoying breakfast you will be collected from your hotel and head to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary was established by beekeeper and floriculturist Alex Griffiths in 1947 as a small-scale tourist venture featuring lorikeet feeding displays in which tourists could participate. By at least 1953 it was known as the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary and by the mid-1950s had become an iconic tourist attraction on the Gold Coast. The place had evolved by the early 1970s to offer visitors a variety of experiences, including: the chance to see numerous bird and animal species and learn about their part in the regional natural environment; take a miniature train ride around the large site purchase souvenirs Enjoy a meal. In 1976 Griffiths gifted the sanctuary to the National Trust of Queensland (the Trust), and the terms of this exchange and its ongoing operation are set out in the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary Act 1976. The place was renamed the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in 1995. It continues to be operated by the Trust as a nature-based tourism enterprise and is recognised as one of the oldest of its kind to remain in operation in the state.
During your visit you will have a Glimpse behind the Scenes, A 60-minute opportunity to learn all about what happens behind the scenes at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Learn about conservation efforts for Koalas and Tasmanian
Devils, explore the stories of the Wildlife Hospital on the Hospital Deck and back of House tour, and see important off display areas that are integral to running the Sanctuary.
Includes a meet and greet with an Australian favourite animal.
In the afternoon you will explore more of the Gold Coast on a one hour amphibious Duck tour. These tours have been designed as an excursion or education experience. They include all that the 1-hour tour offers plus additional information about boat building, engineering, Aboriginal history, geography and the environment. Tours are led by our chief engineer who will show the students how the Aquaduck was built and how it runs using both an engine and a propeller. Resources used include Aquaduck architectural Plans, images of the duck being built, and images of how Aquaducks are used today by the Army and the Australian Antarctic Division.
All students have the opportunity to Captain the Aquaduck while on the Gold Coast Broadwater and will receive a certificate and sticker to commemorate their successful captaincy.
You will then head back to your hotel on the Gold Coast.
Day 8
Today we spend a Day at Sea World with an Educational Programme included Marine Investigators. During this program, students will learn about the roles and relationships of marine animals within a reef ecosystem. Students will participate in a 45-minute lesson at Shark Bay’s underwater viewing gallery, followed by an hour Tropical Reef Snorkelling program, which includes 20 minutes in the water. Marine Investigators develops students’ science inquiry skills as they are literally immersed in the marine environment mastering basic snorkelling skills and witnessing, up close, the body features and behaviours typical to a variety of reef animals and how these species are all interconnected.
Tonight, you will depart for Movie World and the Outback Spectacular THE SHOW Australian Outback Spectacular’s Heartland plunges guests into the outback with a compilation of dust and beauty, drought and rain, in a transformative arena that appears to spin, turn and shatter.
Enjoy an all-new story with true Australian characters, Reg and Marg, that delves into the reality of living on the land. Embark on a vivid, spectacular and emotional ride into the heart of the Australian bush under the iconic red roof with a delicious three course dinner and drinks.
Day 9
Today you will check out of your hotel and have time for some more sightseeing and last minute souvenir shopping before heading off to Brisbane Airport for your flight back to Dubai.
