Itinerary
Day 1
Upon arrival at Barcelona Airport, you will be greeted by your driver and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Once settled, your adventure begins with a visit to the iconic Sagrada Familia. The Basilica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia, commonly known as the Sagrada Familia, stands as an unfinished masterpiece in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. This colossal church, the world's largest unfinished Catholic sanctuary, was designed by the celebrated Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926). Recognized as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sagrada Familia was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI on November 7, 2010, and declared a minor basilica.
Following your visit to the Sagrada Familia, you will proceed to Park Guell. Parc Güell is a stunning park system combining gardens and architectural elements on Carmel Hill, Barcelona. Designed by Antoni Gaudí for Eusebi Güell with urbanization in mind, the park is a testament to Gaudí's unique style and Catalan modernism.
After exploring Park Guell, you'll return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2
After breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on a full day of fun at Port Aventura Park. Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation, and you will head to the theme park located in the PortAventura World Resort, about 85 km southwest of Barcelona. Port Aventura Park, the most visited theme park in Spain and fifth in Europe, offers a wide array of attractions. Initially opened in 1995 and later rebranded as 'Universal's Port Aventura' in 1998 when Universal Studios took over, the park is a hub of excitement and adventure.
After a thrilling day at Port Aventura Park, you'll return to your accommodation to freshen up before dinner and another restful night at your hotel.
Day 3
Start your day with breakfast before setting out on foot or by public transport, using your travel card for convenience. The morning is dedicated to a 3-hour Spanish lesson at a local language school, providing a valuable opportunity to immerse yourself in the Spanish language.
Post-lesson, you'll have some free time for lunch before venturing into the Gothic Quarter in the afternoon. This historic center of old Barcelona, stretching from La Rambla to Via Laietana and from the Mediterranean seafront to Ronda de Sant Pere, is a testament to the city's Roman and medieval past.
Next, you'll visit the Picasso Museum, which houses an extensive collection of artworks by the 20th-century Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. The museum, located in five adjoining medieval palaces in Barcelona's La Ribera neighborhood, offers a deep dive into Picasso's genius.
Following the museum visit, you'll return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4
After breakfast, your day will again be spent exploring on foot or by public transport. The first stop is the Camp Nou, officially known as Spotify Camp Nou for sponsorship reasons. This iconic football stadium, home to FC Barcelona since 1957, is the largest in Spain and Europe.
Following your Camp Nou visit, you'll participate in a cooking workshop, where you'll learn to prepare classic Spanish dishes. This hands-on experience culminates in a delicious lunch that you've helped create.
After enjoying your culinary creations, you'll have the remainder of the afternoon free to spend at your leisure before returning to your hotel for dinner and another overnight stay.
Day 5
On your final day, after breakfast, you'll have some free time to explore Barcelona further or indulge in some last-minute shopping. Later, you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight home, bringing your Spanish adventure to a close.
