Itinerary
Day one
On arrival into Vienna Airport you will be met by your driver and transferred to your accommodation.
Your accommodation will be Jugendgaestehaus Wien-Brigitenau & Brigitenau Youth Palace
Your normal check in time will be 14:00hrs, if however, your rooms are not ready you can store your bags.
In the afternoon you will proceed to a Scavenger Hunt which is a fun way to get to know the inner city of Vienna.
Day two
After breakfast at your hostel, today you will be competing in the Maths Competition.
Transportation from the hostel to the University and back takes approximately 10 minutes by car. You will be picked up from your accommodation at 08:30 AM and returned around 17:00 hrs after the competition. Lunch is included. Dinner will be at your accommodation, and you can then head off to bed (dinner on your own).
Day three
After breakfast at your hostel, today is the second day of the Maths Competition. You will have transportation from the hostel to the University and back, a 10-minute car ride. You will be picked up from your accommodation at 08:30 AM and returned around 13:00 hrs
(Lunch bag is included). In the evening, you will enjoy an evening Ghost Tour, which will last around 1.5-2 hours.
After the Spooky Vienna Ghost Tour, you will then take the same bus number 11A back to your accommodation
Day four
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel you will enjoy a general walking tour of Vienna with a visit to the opera house (front view only). The Vienna Opera House is a world famous opera venue. With its stunning architecture it is an iconic cultural institution that hosts over 300 performances per year. The Opera House also showcases a rich repertoire of classical and contemporary opera and ballets which are very popular with locals and tourists alike. Then continue to Albertina Museum guided inside visit for 2.5 hours
You will also enjoy a guided visit of the Albertina Museum a renowned art museum located in the heart of Vienna. It houses an extensive collection of graphic art including drawings, prints and photographs as well as a diverse range of modern and contemporary artworks.
After the tour you will then take 11A back to your accommodation relax and overnight.
Day five Tuesday 27 February 2024
Today you will enjoy a day trip to Semmering a popular winter destination part of the Alps.
Semmering is a picturesque mountain pass located in Austria, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and historical significance. Situated in the Eastern Alps, Semmering is a crucial transportation route that connects Lower Austria with Styria. It has long been a vital link between Vienna and Graz, two of Austria's major cities.
What sets Semmering apart is its mesmerizing landscape, characterized by lush forests, meadows, and dramatic cliffs. The region attracts visitors throughout the year, offering hiking and skiing opportunities in the respective seasons. Its charming alpine villages and the iconic Semmering Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, add to the region's allure.
Day six 28 February 2024 2024
After enjoying breakfast you will pay a visit to Kunsthistorisches, Museum.
The Kunsthistorisches Museum, located in the heart of Vienna, is a treasure trove of art and culture. Step into a world of grandeur and marvel at the stunning collection of masterpieces by renowned artists such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Raphael. Admire the opulent architecture that befits the treasures within, and lose yourself in the rich history of human creativity. A visit to the Kunsthistorisches Museum is an immersion in beauty, history, and the pinnacle of human achievement.
10.00 – Museum of Fine Arts (entry included but no guided tour) - Maria-Theresien Platz 1010 )
After museum you may go shopping, have free time, etc.
17:00- hotel pick-up and transfer to Vienna International Airport.
